WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar is known for giving the fans some of the most physical and intense matches. The Beast Incarnate had joined the Stamford-based promotion back in March 2002 and rose to prominence in 2004. Interestingly, a former Divas Champion had once pitched to be Lesnar’s on-screen sister.
Beth Phoenix joined WWE’s developmental territory in 2004 as an extra but went on to become a three-time Women’s Champion. She ended her career in 2012 and was later inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017. The Glamazon was one of the company’s rare female powerhouses who didn’t just survive but thrive in the Divas and post-Divas era.
Interestingly, Phoenix had once pitched the idea of being Brock Lesnar’s on-screen sister to Michael Hayes during her days as an extra. However, Hayes and the management didn’t approve it back then. Sharing this memory on X in 2021, she wrote that she had also carved a whole storyline for the concept.
"Fun Fact: At one of my first gigs as a @WWE extra I pitched a detailed storyline to Michael Hayes to be brought in as Brock Lesnar's sister. I had ZERO CHILL," Beth noted.
While this idea never took off, it would have been an amazing on-screen relationship with a lot of promise, considering the legendary status of both superstars today.
Will Brock Lesnar return in the 2025 Royal Rumble?
Brock Lesnar was removed from all active WWE storylines after he found himself caught in legal issues when he was allegedly implicated in the sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon. The Beast Incarnate was last seen at the 2023 SummerSlam in a losing effort against Cody Rhodes. Before the lawsuit was filed, Lesnar was supposed to return at the 2024 Royal Rumble.
The reigning Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker later replaced the former MMA fighter. Interestingly, several fans are expecting the Paul Heyman guy to return to the Stamford-based promotion soon. Moreover, there is a chance that Lesnar could be back at the 2025 Royal Rumble like he was supposed to be a year ago.
Recently, Gunther used the Kimura submission hold on Damian Priest at the Survivor Series. This was the go-to submission move of the Beast Incarnate. Moreover, Xavier Woods namedropped Lesnar on a recent episode of RAW and taunted Kofi Kingston that Brock had ended his WWE Championship reign within seconds.
Triple H and his team are not shying away from dropping hints that the routes to Suplex City may open once again. It would be interesting to see if he would be back at the 2025 Royal Rumble and reinstate his dominance in the company.
