I can say the same thing about the United States heavyweight championship and the Intercontinental championship. With greats such as Patterson, Savage and Steamboat holding the Intercontinental championship, it has been one of the most prestigious titles in WWE history. With Axel being the current Intercontinental champion, there is a good chance that WWE can play on the “Perfect legacy” angle, with Mr. Perfect being arguably the greatest Intercontinental champion in the history of the WWE.

Similarly, Dean Ambrose can bring back some credibility to the United States championship. Although the titles are meant to bring some credibility to the performers, the titles themselves haven’t been relevant, thanks to the poor booking by the creative.

With CM Punk now fighting for the Intercontinental championship, this can be the perfect opportunity for the WWE to put the title on Punk for a while, just to make the title relevant once again. With Daniel Bryan fighting for the WWE title, one feels that finally, the WWE title means something in the WWE.

The same can be said about the World Heavyweight championship, with Rob Van Dam now going after Alberto Del Rio for the title. If everything goes well in the next few months, there is a possibility that the titles get their credibility back, which can only be a good thing going forward in the WWE.
