WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was pulled out of the Tuesday night Smackdown tapings at the last moment according to reports.
Originally, WWE had intended Flair to appear at Fayetteville, North Carolina, but the planned schedule was changed, most probably on Tuesday morning after the show was re-written it seems.
It seems that Flair won’t be making a regular appearance on TV every week as he was supposed to when he signed a new deal with the WWE. The initial plan was to present Flair as a full-timer in the company, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now.
The creative, based on Monday Night Raw reports, don’t have substantial angles yet for the Nature Boy. So Flair will be working semi-regularly on TV for now heading into the SummerSlam pay-per-view and maybe even beyond that.
Flair has been booked to host the Live Event house show on the night before SummerSlam. We will have to wait and watch how the 16time World Champion is utilised on TV in the coming few months.
