The bulk of the criticism that has come Roman Reign’s way since the Shield broke up has been directed towards the WWE World Heavyweight champion sticking to the same in-ring attire and the theme song.
The recent terror attacks in Paris has prompted the WWE to think about changing Roman’s in-ring gear as it bears a resemblance to the tactical gear that the terrorists might use.
The talk gained fuel after the recent terror attack in San Bernadino, California and Vince was consulted about the same. The boss shot down the idea and was happy with the current look that Reigns sports.

Vince’s argument was that these out-of-the-blue changes would hurt the recent progress that the World Heavyweight champion has been making and that it would be a ‘knee-jerking reaction’ from the fans.
The talk backstage is that the WWE Universe don’t connect with Reigns because of his gear – that is what the terrorists might use during their attacks. They are of the opinion that if the attacks continue – Reigns being the top babyface – would look bad coming through the fans all dressed in an all-black tactical outfit.
In spite of no change being made at the moment, if the attacks continue, WWE plans on implementing subtle tweaks to tone down Reigns’s ‘menacing’ look. Backstage sources point to changes being made if the attacks continue.
