The RAW Women's Championship match was one of the highlights of the night as Becky Lynch defended her title against Asuka. One year ago, Asuka forced Lynch to tap out to the Asuka Lock ahead of the Women's Royal Rumble, which The Man went on to win. A lot has changed in a year since and this time, it was Asuka who was tapping out and Lynch was able to successfully retain her title.

The Empress of Tomorrow had been pushed hard heading into the Royal Rumble and many fans expected her to pick up the win over the Champion when the title was on the line, but The Man was a tough opponent on the night.
It was a fantastic match that showed why Lynch has been pushed into such a prominent position but there was a slight botch at the mid-way point. It was only a small botch, but when Lynch and Asuka were on the apron exchanging blows, Asuka missed the kick on Lynch so she was forced to double back and kick her for a second time.
