While this match happened on RAW, it could happen once again at Royal Rumble. Somewhat bafflingly, Bobby Lashley squashed Riddle to retain his United States Championship. This did not make sense, as WWE needed to fill a lot of time due to certain absentees within the roster.

Instead of having the likes of Riddle and Jeff Hardy pull double duty, The King of Bros could have had a long and competitive match with Lashley. Perhaps, that is being saved for Royal Rumble. The feud between the two hard-hitters is not over, with the possibility of it ending at the pay-per-view.

Save for a flash victory for Riddle over a week ago on RAW, this feud has been pretty one-sided. WWE will need to showcase him in order to make fans believe in a possible title change. While Lashley will likely stay as US Champion, Riddle should be more competitive.

This could be a solid addition to the Royal Rumble undercard, or possibly the Kickoff Show - since Bobby Lashley has declared himself for the Rumble Match. Riddle could still get some form of revenge on The Hurt Business if his team with Jeff Hardy materializes and they go after the RAW Tag Team Championship.
