It is the Survivor Series week and things are heating up! Today's roundup has a lot of interesting stories and it's easily the biggest one I've had the pleasure of presenting in a long time!
We take a look at a major spoiler for Survivor Series right at the end but before that, there are a few things that need to be taken note of as well. Nia Jax has taken a shot at Becky Lynch, Triple H is set to make his in-ring return, and finally, one particular RAW Superstar who went off script on the show last night!
Let's kick things off with the two headline-makers of the day:
Vince McMahon's plans for Bray Wyatt
Vince McMahon might not be the most popular figure among the WWE Universe but the man is a genius. This company wouldn't be anything without him and he is proving time and again that he has ideas that nobody can match in this industry.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Now, Vince is reportedly set to keep Bray Wyatt on a winning run for the foreseeable future. Wrestling News Co’s Paul Davis has reported that the chairman is keen on keeping Wyatt's momentum going and will not have him pinned by anyone until he finds the right guy.
CM Punk on Royal Rumble rumors
CM Punk is on WWE Backstage and the WWE Universe is excited. The fans want him to return to the ring soon and rumors/fan theories have been doing the rounds indicating that he could be involved in the Royal Rumble.
However, Punk has put an end to all that and said that he has no plans of entering the Rumble. He also revealed that he will be talking about it but won't be participating.
He has also made it clear that he is working for FOX and not WWE! His contract is just with the network and not with the wrestling company.
Nia Jax takes shot at Becky Lynch
Nia Jax is currently out injured but is slowly making her way back. She had both her ACLs repaired and will be back only in 2020.
The former RAW Women's champion was not happy with Becky Lynch attacking a Security Guard on Monday Night RAW and made her feelings clear via Twitter.
If a dude punched a female security in the face....there would be a riot. #JustSayin. But I guess that was a “man”
It will be interesting to see if this is just a standalone tweet from Nia or if WWE are already planning for her return and this is a part of a storyline. Nia has not been drafted to any of the shows in the WWE Draft and will be a free agent on her return. This will allow her to appear on the same show as Becky Lynch and we could see a feud between them soon.
Lana goes off script!
Lana was involved in a promo last night with Bobby Lashley on Monday Night RAW and she reportedly botched a line. Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio reports that she was not supposed to say '90 days' in the promo but it slipped out.
Moreover, Lashley too appeared to have made a mistake as Meltzer reports that he was supposed to correct her in the promo.
"Do you want to know the script on this? Because I actually know. Okay, she was supposed to say 90 miles, she was not supposed to say 90 days and it was supposed to end up with 90 feet. She was supposed to say 90 miles, Lashley was supposed to correct her and then she would say 90 feet.
"But somehow, she said 90 days, which she wasn’t supposed to say. So she did, in fact, screw up. I thought that the 90 miles had to be a screw-up but in fact, that line was actually a part of the script."
How will this affect the storyline? Only time will tell!
Triple H to join Team NXT at Survivor Series?
Triple H might be unveiled as the final member of Team NXT at Survivor Series according to WrestleVotes. The WWE Creative team reportedly wants him to be a part of the match to make things more interesting.
Team RAW is set to have Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton and Ricochet while Team SmackDown will have Roman Reigns, Mustafa Ali, Braun Strowman, King Corbin and Shorty G. Team NXT has not been announced as yet but it is likely to happen on NXT tomorrow night.
Triple H has always made it clear that the creative team pitches ideas for him to have a run every now and then. Talking to talkSPORT earlier this year, the COO said:
“Trust me, there’s almost a day that doesn’t go by where I don’t get a text from somebody on these rosters who go ‘what if…’ or ‘what if Shawn…’ or ‘what if you…’ and that’s flattering, I understand that. Look, I watch what they do – I couldn’t hang! Not even in the ballpark anymore.”
Major spoiler for Survivor Series
Daniel Bryan takes on Bray Wyatt at Survivor Series this Sunday and we have a spoiler for the match. If you are not interested in knowing anything about it, please exit the article right now as the next few paragraphs contain a major spoiler.
The pay-per-view takes place in Chicago, Illinois this Sunday (November 24th) and WWE have a lot of matches lined up. However, despite the added storylines and matches involving the NXT Superstars, the WWE Universal Championship match is the one that the fans are looking forward to most.
WWE are set to continue the Bryan vs Wyatt storyline for some time according to Wrestling News Co’s Paul Davis. He reports that the plan is to keep the title on The Fiend but this won't be the only time Bryan will be challenging for the title.
With Wyatt set to retain, it looks like Vince McMahon's plans for him to not get pinned for a long time are in full effect.
