Epico becomes WWC Universal champion

Epico might be still under contract with WWE but he has been crowned the new WWC Universal Champion! The Colon member defeated “The Precious One” Gilbert to pick up the title.
The new champion is now set to defend the title against another WWE Superstar on September 14th. Epico is set to put the title on the line against his brother, Primo in the matchup at Septiembre Negro.
WWC is a wrestling promotion back in Puerto Rico and is tun by their father. The move might have been sanctioned by WWE management as it would be a big risk for them to take part without getting permission.
The Colons last wrestled in a WWE show back in February when they were involved in a dark match after SmackDown Live. WWE creative currently do not have plans for the former WWE Tag Team Champions, and it won't be a surprise if they continue helping WWC.
