The commentary team is also set to undergo a change with Corey Graves, Renee Young and Michael Cole being replaced by Vic Joseph, Dio Maddin and Jerry Lawler. While Renee is moving to host her own show called WWE Backstage on FOX, Corey and Cole are heading for the Friday Night SmackDown commentary team.

The King revealed to Memphis Commercial Appeal that it was Vince McMahon who made the decision to bring him back to RAW. he said:
It was Paul [Heyman's] idea to put Vic and Dio on Raw. Apparently, what I was told, Vince [McMahon] said, 'You can't throw these two new, young guys on our flagship show. Call King.' That's how it happened.
