#3 Real reason for Dominick skipping NXT
Rey Mysterio is considered one of WWE's most beloved stars of all time, holding three World titles over his career, as well as the Grand Slam and the 2006 Royal Rumble winner.
But this year, Mysterio's son Dominick was the one grabbing headlines, as the 21-year-old started appearing with his father during Rey's feud with Samoa Joe.
According to rumors, the plan is for Dominick to enter the WWE's roster in 2020, though is unlikely to join as part of NXT, as the company believes having Dominick enter as part of a storyline with his father is the best course of action.
This week, a report by our very own Tom Colohue gave more details on this, citing that the developmental brand's move to the USA Network could also be a factor behind this decision.
According to the report, with NXT being moved to TV, WWE is seeing the yellow brand as less of a development place for the next generation of Superstars for RAW and SmackDown Live, and more as it's own separate brand, with its own set of characters.
