#1 Intercontinental Title match planned for Clash of Champions
Since capturing the Intercontinental Championship from Finn Balor on the Extreme Rules kick-off show, the reign of Shinsuke Nakamura hasn't exactly set the world on fire.
Much like his United States title reigns of last year and early this year, the King of Strong Style has done relatively little since capturing the gold, being lost in the shuffle.
That could change very soon though, as according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Nakamura is set to defend his gold against something who knows plenty about the Intercontinental Championship: The Miz.
Miz, an eight-time IC Champion in his own right, was recently attacked on SmackDown Live by the Japanese Superstar, who also formed an alliance with Sami Zayn during the programme.
The A-Lister last held the title at WrestleMania 34, and though he briefly captured the SmackDown Tag Titles with Shane McMahon earlier this year, it has been over a year since Miz held singles gold.
There's no doubt that the former World Champion will be hoping to change this if he does get an IC title match at Clash of Champions.
