John Cena finally made his much-awaited return to WWE at Money in the Bank. Cena confronted Roman Reigns upon his return, giving rise to speculation that John Cena will join SmackDown upon his return and feud with The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
However, John Cena also made an appearance on WWE RAW this week. Fightful Select has revealed that Cena will be treated as a free agent and has been booked for multiple appearances in the coming time regardless of the brand.

As per Fightful Select, John Cena has been booked to be on "several upcoming shows" following his return on Sunday night. Cena is reportedly not tied to either RAW or SmackDown and is a free agent of sorts.
John Cena had himself revealed that he will be kicking off Monday Night RAW this week. Despite showing up on RAW, the current plan remains for John Cena to take on Roman Reigns at SummerSlam next month.
