#3. Lio Rush may have possibly wrestled his first and final match following WWE release
Lio Rush was one of the many Superstars released as part of WWE's extensive budget cuts in April.
Unlike many other talents, Rush didn't jump into looking for another wrestling gig and he instead, began working on his career as a musician.
Rush had even teased his retirement and released a shoot interview rap album titled 'The Final Match'.
However, the 25-year-old Superstar recently made his in-ring return at Game Changer Wrestling's (GCW) Homecoming event.
Rush showed up on the first day and attacked Joey Janela after the AEW star's DDT Ironman Heavymetal Championship match against Yoshihiko.
The assault set up a showdown, labelled 'The Final Match', between the long-time rivals for the second day of the event.
Rush and Janela faced each other at Homecoming part two, and the match had everything you'd expect from the two former CZW wrestlers, which included an insane high spot.
Janela picked up the win over the former WWE Superstar. After the match, Rush seemed ready to cut a retirement promo, but he was stopped by Janela, who felt that the fans didn't want him to hang up his boots.
Rush spent a long time in silence before ending the segment by thanking the fans. While he didn't confirm the retirement, the match against Janela, at this point, looks to be his swansong, unless he decides to return to the ring again.
