#1 Backstage details on WWE's Capitol Wrestling Center
As seen at WWE NXT TakeOver: 31, the Performance Center has been rebranded as the Capitol Wrestling Center. The refurbished PC will be the home of NXT going forward, and it marks the beginning of another significant era in the Black-and-Gold brand's history.
An exclusive report from WrestlingInc revealed that the primary reason WWE unveiled Capitol Wrestling Centre was to for live fans to return. The decision also had to do with the recent renovations that were conducted at the Performance Center.
AEW has a long-running streak over NXT in the Wednesday Night Wars, and the belief is that a fresh look and the return of fans will give NXT a 'rejuvenation' that was prevalent before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Full Sail University was never going to allow WWE to get the fans back, and a decision had to be taken to move into the Performance Center.
WWE has started to accommodate fans in small numbers in pods, and the idea is to increase the capacity if there are no positive COVID-19 results. The fans would be kept away from the NXT talent, and the social distancing protocols will be followed with regards to entering and exiting the Capitol Wrestling Center.
The management has a goal of getting fans back by the time the new year comes around. The company wants the 'normal feeling' to return to its shows, but the idea won't be publicly talked about as there is always a possibility of WWE facing potential setbacks.
