#2 Reason why WWE canceled the 'Hair vs Hair' match at SummerSlam 2020

We were initially supposed to have Mandy Rose face Sonya Deville in a 'Hair vs Hair' match at WWE SummerSlam. However, the stipulation was changed to a loser leaves WWE instead on SmackDown last week.

The reason for this change is believed to be the real-life problems Sonya Deville had to face over the week. Her house was broken into by a stalker who wanted to abduct her. The suspect has been caught and WWE Superstar Sonya Deville will be required in court.

Dave Meltzer of WON explained that Deville's lawyer told her that it would not be wise to attend court with a shaved head. Plus it would be good for her to take some time off after the harrowing experience.

Bryan Alvarez also stated that Vince McMahon is looking to have another Hair vs Hair match to replace the one that couldn't take place.

“It was going to be hair vs. hair and then on Friday afternoon, they rewrote SmackDown twice. By the time all was said and done they changed it to a hair match to a career match, Loser Leaves WWE. I was told that afternoon it would make sense on Sunday. Well, Sunday is now over and it makes no more sense than it did on Friday. I have absolutely no idea why they did a Loser Leaves Town Match. I presume that Sonya is gonna be off for a while to deal with this issue and then she’ll come back. I pray she’s not gone forever because she’s a highlight of SmackDown and her promos are unbelievably great. They worked their a$$es off in this match.
