In stunning news for the WWE Universe, Dave Meltzer, in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, has hinted at a possible return for Goldberg. He claims the WWE Hall Of Famer could be a challenger for Bobby Lashley in the near future.

While mentioning Goldberg, the WON journalist also named Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, and Daniel Bryan as the other possible opponents. He said

"The RAW brand doesn't have any challenger set up but they can always elevate Randy Orton, or really anyone if they so choose. Bray Wyatt and Bill Goldberg are always on the bench and the idea is an all top hands on deck show. Bryan Danielson, if he does come back and it would likely be for RAW."

Goldberg's possible return has undoubtedly caught the WWE Universe off-guard. The expectation was to see Brock Lesnar return to the ring soon and face Bobby Lashley for the WWE title.

But if Kofi Kingston does manage to spring a surprise and claim the WWE title at Money In The Bank, plans might change for SummerSlam.
