#2 Possible spoiler on Roman Reigns vs Edge outcome at WWE MITB

WWE icons Edge and Roman Reigns are set to square off against each other at the upcoming MITB. Edge was initially set to take on The Tribal Chief at WrestleMania 37. However, the 2021 Royal Rumble winner could not get a one-on-one shot as Daniel Bryan got interjected into the match.

The Rater R Superstar will now finally face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at MITB. While the match will be spectacular, it is unlikely that Edge will win.

As per Dave Meltzer of WON, Reigns is scheduled to defend the Universal title against Rey and Dominik Mysterio after MITB, which means that he will retain at the upcoming PPV.

“7/24 in Pittsburgh is listing Reigns vs. Rey & Dominik Mysterio in a handicap match with the title at stake which means Reigns has to win and putting the title up in a handicap match is stupid to begin with, as it just makes the babyfaces look like they are losers to start out with.”
