#4 Gangrel reveals WWE created The Brood to push Edge

Former WWE Superstar Gangrel recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet. The iconic Superstar talked about his time as the leader of the faction called The Brood. The stable consisted of him and young Edge and Christian. He revealed that the stable was created essentially to get Edge over as the company saw him as a future top guy.

Gangrel also stated that the original members of the faction included himself, Edge, and former ROH World Champion Chris Daniels. However, it was Edge who brought in Christian who got Daniels' part instead.

They told me from day one it was to help bring Edge in and get him ready. They said he is our future and we are strapping a rocket to him. That was the deal. Edge brought in Christian. That was supposed to be the Chris Daniels spot. H/T: WrestlingNewsCo

Edge was truly the breakout member of the faction, becoming a multi-time WWE Champion and has earned a spot in the coveted WWE Hall of Fame as well.
