Former US champion Kalisto was one of the names released by WWE last week. The luchador had not been used in WWE for quite some time. While his former partners Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado were featured frequently in WWE, Kalisto was seen sporadically after his split with the Lucha House Party.
As per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via CSS), Kalisto wasn't happy about being part of the Lucha House Party, and despite being told no, he kept insisting on leaving the group. In the end, WWE broke him away from the group but had no plans to use him. This eventually led to him getting cut while Dorado and Metalik are still employed.

"Per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Kalisto was released after he was troublesome for repeatedly trying to get out of Lucha House Party and publicly unhappy about his TV usage."
The report also stated that while Dorado and Metalik were brought in for tapings to job (lose) or work a 24/7 Championship angle, Kalisto was completely written off.
