#5 Vince McMahon was responsible for firing Eric Bischoff as the Executive Director of WWE SmackDown
Eric Bischoff spoke about his brief stint as the creative head of SmackDown in 2019 while speaking to Lucha Libre Online. Bischoff revealed that the reason why he was fired from his position was that it was Vince McMahon's call. He also stated that he knew that he wouldn't last long in the position as he did not feel that the desired chemistry was present.
Eric Bischoff said that he wasn't comfortable with the creative process of WWE and couldn't keep up with the fast-moving train that WWE tends to be.
''It was Vince's decision. But again, it was one that I agreed with. It became apparent to me early on that the chemistry, the creative chemistry in WWE was not, in my opinion, it wasn't a healthy creative environment for me. It worked very well for WWE, I guess. But for me creative is as much about the energy, how well people get along, how well people can collaborate, and because WWE is such a fast-moving train, it was really hard to get on board and to get up to speed with their pace in the way they did things."
Eric Bischoff further stated that he is still friends with Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard and there is no animosity between them at all. He believes that both parties realized that there was no chemistry almost as soon as they started working together.
#4 Roman Reigns' WWE WrestleMania 38 opponent teased
This week on WWE Talking Smack, Paul Heyman teased a WrestleMania 38 match between Big E and Roman Reigns. Speaking to the Intercontinental Champion, Paul Heyman believed that Big E has the chance to solidify his reign as the Champion this year, which would then put him in a position to face Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at next year's WrestleMania.
“It should be the designation of you as a great Champion so that you can main-event WrestleMania against Roman Reigns. And the fact that you’re not gonna main-event this year, sir, that should p*** you off.”
Big E was an early favorite to face Roman Reigns at this year's WrestleMania. However, reports have suggested that it will be the Royal Rumble winner Edge who will take on Reigns instead.
#3 Big match finalized for WWE WrestleMania 37
With WrestleMania 37 just a few months away, there has been a lot of conversation around which big matches will be taking place on the show. One of the matches that have been decided is a tag team match featuring Bad Bunny and Damian Priest vs. The Miz and John Morrison. Here is what CSS stated:
Pretty obvious, but Wrestling Observer Radio confirmed WWE’s plan for WrestleMania 37 is Bad Bunny & Damian Priest vs. The Miz & John Morrison.
The feud between the two teams started at Royal Rumble when Bad Bunny refused The Miz and Morrison's request to collaborate, leading to a conflict between the two parties. Damian Priest has associated himself with Bad Bunny in his quest to embarrass Miz and Morrison.
#2 Truth about rumors of Booker T returning to WWE
Six-time world champion and WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T, rebuffed rumors suggesting that he will be teaming up with Bad Bunny at WrestleMania 37 while speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast.
''While I can say that it is 100% - I think it came from Meltzer - I think it is 100% a rumor. No one has talked to me about it as far as having a match at WrestleMania. No one has talked to me about tag teaming with Bad Bunny to go against anyone.''
Booker T also added that he is not opposed to returning to WWE for another match but it has to be the right one. The situation has to be right and he doesn't want to waste his return just for the sake of a big return.
#1 Nexus to make a return at WWE WrestleMania 37?
Former WWE Superstar Fred Rosser fka Darren Young recently spoke on The DropKick Podcast and mentioned a possible Nexus reunion at WrestleMania 37. Rosser said that Nexus is going to be back and defeat RETRIBUTION.
Rosser suggested that Wade Barrett is going to step out of commentary and lead the Nexus reunion at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
"Yeah well most likely, Wrestlemania in Tampa again with the crowd. We’re gonna come back. The Nexus, him being on commentary and he’s gonna rise up from the table and we’re gonna show up and defeat Retribution. I shouldn't have dropped the news but, oops but it will be fun."
While Rosser's statements should be taken in a fun-filled manner, a Nexus reunion would surely be something that fans would love to see.
