#2 Backstage reaction to Rey Mysterio's son Dominick's development

WWE has booked Rey Mysterio's retirement ceremony for next week's RAW and the segment will be hosted by Seth Rollins. Every educated wrestling fan knows that it's all a work and Mysterio will end up feuding with Seth Rollins.

Rey Mysterio is not done wrestling but there is speculation that his son Dominick could have a role to play as Seth Rollins did mention his name during his recent promo on RAW.

Sportskeeda's Tom Colohue revealed in the Dropkick DiSKussions podcast that Rey Mysterio does want to wrestle alongside his son before he retires from in-ring competition. Regarding Dominick's development, Tom revealed that many people backstage in WWE are high on him. Dominick is training for his in-ring debut and he's impressing officials backstage with his progress.

Tom added that WWE doesn't feel Dominick is ready to kickstart his career as a full-time wrestler but it won't be long before he does make his in-ring debut for the company.

"Mysterio wants to wrestle alongside his son before he retires and Dominick is still training and training well. A lot of people are quite high on that guy. They don't think he's ready just yet but that time is coming. The day is coming, certainly not next week on RAW."
