What’s the story?
Last night on SmackDown Live, Jinder Mahal attacked Randy Orton and stole the WWE Championship. Orton had just finished a match with Eric Rowan when Mahal entered the ring and, along with the Singh Brothers, attacked the current champion.
From what we saw, it was pretty clear to the WWE Universe that this was a move made by the WWE to keep fans interested. However, on reviewing the footage, we can see that Mahal put the ‘Viper’ to rest with a modified version of his finisher. The big question is what the name of the finisher?
In case you didn’t know...
Mahal was previously signed to the WWE back in 2011 before leaving for the independent circuit. During his time with the WWE in 2011, Mahal used a variety of submission holds and finishers. The ones which he used on most occasions were the ‘Camel Clutch’, the ‘Neckbreaker’ and the ‘Full nelson slam’.

The heart of the matter
Jinder Mahal made his move to SmackDown Live during the recent Superstar shakeup, and it's pretty obvious that he is taking full advantage of the ‘Land of Opportunity’. Mahal has quickly risen through the ranks of the SmackDown roster and is all set to challenge Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at ‘Backlash’. However, what most fans are wondering after watching the most recent episode of Tuesday night SmackDown, is whether or not they will get to see Mahal’s new finisher, the same finisher he used on Orton.

What’s next?
Basically, fans should get used to seeing the heel character perform the variation in his future matches. While it isn't really anything special, it can make people wonder if it is a new move. Just to confirm once more, it's not and Mahal is just using one of his previous finishers. However, it is quite exciting to see, due to his uncanny expressions before he uses it.
Author’s take
While Mahal does look like he’s trying to mix things up with his new and improved ‘Full nelson slam’, it really isn’t all that great a move. That being said it will be interesting to see if Mahal or the WWE Universe can come up with a clever name for the finisher. Maybe the ‘Maharaja slam’ or the ‘ Full Punjabi Slam’.
