WWE Rumors: Backstage details on why Dean Ambrose got a big send-off from WWE

The Shield's final chapter was an emotional night
The Shield's final chapter was an emotional night

What's the story?

Moments after his WWE contract expired, Dean Ambrose released a video on his Twitter account, bringing back his Jon Moxley persona. There is a lot of buzz about whether it's a WWE made video, considering they gave Ambrose such a massive send-off.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter shed light on why WWE decided to send Ambrose off with so much pomp and splendor. I want to thank Wrestling Inc. for the following summary.

In case you didn't know...

Ambrose's last appearance for WWE took place recently in a Network Special called The Shield's Final Chapter. Dean Ambrose teamed up with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns to take on the evil trio of Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin in a big triple threat match.

Not surprisingly, the babyfaces stood tall. Dean Ambrose put a passionate promo at the end of the night, as the crowd chanted- 'please don't go' at him. But not only has he left, but also the future seems quite promising for The Lunatic.

The heart of the matter

According to The Observer, Dean Ambrose got such a big sendoff because the company believes that he will be back again at some point in WWE. Even though they tried to retain him by offering a great deal of money, but Dean Ambrose kept turning them down.

After a point, it was clear to them that no amount of persuasion would keep Dean Ambrose in WWE. The theory that Dean Ambrose may indeed come back to WWE is supported by the fact that his wife still works there.

What's next?

So many people have come back to WWE even though they've quit the company on extremely poor terms. Dean Ambrose has not and so the chances of a return are extremely high. Let's see what the future holds for the Lunatic Fringe.
