Any doubts of Big Cass’ ability to carry himself in Enzo’s absence have been banished with authority, as proven by the huge pops he’s induced over the past few weeks. Followers of NXT know that the seven-footer’s not the stereotyped muscle we’ve seen in the WWE and is more than capable of working a crowd on the mic.
So it should come as no surprise that Vince McMahon has hearts in his eyes and is enamored with the idea of giving Big Cass a big singles push, according to dailywrestlingnews.com. That’s not to say that their regard for Enzo has diminished, but Mr. McMahon believes that both can thrive flying solo.
There were reports that Carmella could be promoted to the main roster and side with Cass if he branches out on his own. Funnily enough, the biggest question around the whole situation is Cass’ ring name.
WWE officials apparently want to change it to ‘Colin Cass’, because ‘Big Cass’ sounds too similar to ‘Big E’. There is no update on Enzo’s return or recovery as of now, but allwrestlingnews.com had a troubling report on the injury.
Enzo reportedly lost consciousness twice during the match at WWE Payback – once when he took a knee to the head and the second when his head bounced off the middle rope.
