What's the story?
The Undertaker hasn't wrestled in a WWE ring since Crown Jewel back in November, when the former World Champion teamed with Kane in a losing effort against D-Generation X. It appears that this could well have been his final WWE appearance.
In case you didn't know...
The Undertaker has been a part of WWE for the past three decades, where he has performed each year at WrestleMania, with his latest match coming back at last year's show, where he defeated John Cena.
Many believed that Undertaker had retired from the ring the year before when he was defeated by Roman Reigns on the Grandest Stage of Them All, but he then returned to face John Cena in a match that the WWE Universe had waited for throughout the past few years.
The heart of the matter
The Undertaker has been hinting at retirement over the past few years, but has still returned numerous times when WWE has needed him, including at recent shows in Saudi Arabia. Undertaker was expected to be part of this year's show, but it was reported a few weeks ago that WWE doesn't have any plans for Undertaker to wrestle at the Showcase of The Immortals in April.
According to a report by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, Undertaker's contract as an active performer has now expired, and if WWE wants The Deadman to return to be a part of the upcoming Saudi Arabia shows, then The Saudi Prince will have to pay a lot of money to bring the legend overseas.
What's next?
The Undertaker has already signed up to be part of Starrcast 2 ahead of AEW's All or Nothing, but The Deadman is still expected to be a name in the upcoming Hall of Fame, with the names set to be announced this coming week.
