What’s the story?
Local advertising has been spoiling a lot of WWE matches recently as a lot of future matches turn out to be spoilers for the upcoming pay-per-view. That is the case once again as the winner of Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam has been 'leaked' thanks to the advertising in Madison Square Garden.
The advertisement in New York City shows the WWE Universal title on the line at Monday Night Raw (9th September) with Seth Rollins taking on Drew McIntyre. It is now all but clear that The Architect will be regaining the title he lost at the upcoming pay-per-view.
In case you didn’t know…
Rollins put his WWE Universal Title on the line in a mixed tag-team match at WWE Extreme Rules. He teamed up with Becky Lynch and took on Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans in an extreme rules match.
While the champions managed to defeat their opponents and retain their titles, Brock Lesnar cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and walked out of the pay-per-view as the new WWE Universal champion.
Rollins is now set to take on the Beast Incarnate once again at WWE SummerSlam for the title. He defeated 9 other men on Monday Night Raw in a Battle Royale to earn the opportunity.
The heart of the matter
SummerSlam is almost a month away, and we already have our first spoiler for it. The winner of Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar has been 'leaked' in a local advertising that has shown the WWE Universal title on the line when The Architect takes on Drew McIntyre on Monday Night Raw in September.
What’s next?
It looks like Brock Lesnar will be out of the title picture very soon with Drew McIntyre taking his place. Rollins is expected to become the champion once again at SummerSlam while his girlfriend, Becky Lynch, is also likely to retain her title when she takes on Natalya at the pay-per-view.
