WWE Rumors: Possible reason why EC3 made his main roster debut before RAW

This explanation clears up all the prevailing confusion

What's the story?

My colleague Greg Bush reported last night that EC3 and Lacey Evans made their debut before RAW, presumably for Main Event. It did not make any sense to have these two superstars debut prior to RAW, instead of making waves on the actual show.

F4Wonline has thankfully cleared up the confusion regarding their debuts. Thank you to Wrestling Inc. for the heads up.

In case you didn't know...

Main Event is a show that is usually taped before RAW, featuring superstars from the brand. EC3 took on Curt Hawkins in a match that he won quite comprehensively indeed.

Even Lacey Evans was in action before RAW and she took on Natalya, who's a veteran of the women's division. WWE received much criticism from the WWE Universe for not bringing up these talented NXT stars on RAW, and choosing to debut them prior to the show. RAW took place in Orlando, Florida, which is the home of NXT.

The heart of the matter

Thankfully, the two matches were not for Main Event. Rumors indicate and were both dark matches instead. One of the possibilities that the rumor brings forth is that this week's episode of Main Event will be a recap show.

This means that the television debuts for both performers could certainly happen on either RAW or SmackDown Live in the very near future. These matches were probably just a way for the two superstars to familiarise themselves to a live WWE environment, in front of a packed arena.

Mind you, this could be a rumour and little more considering that Main Event graphics were used for both the matches.

What's next?

Very little is known about when the 6 superstars from NXT will make their main roster debuts and which brand they'll debut on, as well. Let's hope that they do not have to debut on Main Event. It'll be interesting to see if Nikki Cross ends up rejoining SAnitY.
