What's the story?
As per the rumour roundup on Cagesideseats.com, the early speculation suggests that a team from the Raw side will win the new Women’s Tag Team Championship at the Elimination Chamber event.
In case you didn't know...
Vince McMahon has announced on the Christmas edition of RAW that WWE would be introducing new Championships - Women's Tag Team Championships.
The Championships were revealed last week on RAW by Alexa Bliss during her talk show - A Moment of Bliss before she invited Paul Heyman as her guest.
It has also been announced that teams from both RAW and SmackDown will be competing in an Elimination Chamber match with the winners being crowned the first ever WWE Women's Tag Team Champions of the modern era.
The heart of the matter
While the teams for the match have not been officially announced, reports suggest that a team from RAW will walk out of the Elimination Chamber with the newly minted belts.
The Riott squad could be strong contenders for the Championships, but the as of now it looks like Bayley and Sasha Banks are the favourites to win, especially from the RAW side.
The Women's Tag Team Championships have not been assigned any brand as of now and the chances are that the Women's Tag Team chances might have to pull double duty on RAW as well as SmackDown regardless of which brand the Superstars holding the championships are from.
What's next?
Elimination Chamber will be taking place on 17th February 2019 at the Toyota Center, Houston, Texas, United States. The only match that has been officially announced as of now is the Women's Tag Team Elimination Chamber match for the Championships.
