The WWE seems to be going one way, but its Superstars another. The radiant banner of their success, when examined, is flecked with predicaments, the most recent to tarnish it being the Ryback conundrum.
A day after he walked out of RAW and into the eye of the storm, Ryback was called into Vince McMahon’s office, according to Wrestling Observer Radio. The Big Guy and the Chairman rapped over his contract which ends in a few months, and ultimately, were unable to reach an agreement due to monetary constraints.
The symptoms were clear a day ago at Payback in Chicago, where Ryback mocked CM Punk’s hometown and even tried some meta-humor, wearing an accessory that resembled a weightlifting left that read “Pre-show stopper”. That aside, his match with Kalisto was very good, though predominantly a ramp walk for the United States Champion.
The first signs of trouble came in the form of an interview last month, when Ryback implied he was fed up with his booking and seriously considering jumping ship. The Big Guy reportedly insisted on being kept off TV and even posted a jeremiad and what spurred him to act. Cagesideseats.com reports that the match at Payback might be the last we see of Ryback in WWE.
