WWE Rumors: Seth Rollins backstage at Extreme Rules

If rumors are true, WWE fans could see the return of former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins tonight at Extreme Rules.

The word came from PWInsider.com that Rollins had been seen backstage at the event, which is being held in Newark, New Jersey.

Of course, the possibility exists that Rollins is merely there as an employee of the company planning to return at some point in the near future. He has been filming the movie “Temple” and was said to be wrapping that up just any day now.

But these rumors are similar to those surrounding Dana Brooke earlier this month on the night she actually did debut on RAW.

The main event is one that would certainly interest Rollins. He had to forfeit the world title, currently held by Roman Reigns, when he injured his knee back in November. For that reason, it would make sense that he would establish himself as targeting what he would likely consider his belt upon his return.

There’s also an outside shot that Rollins would come out as Reigns’ accomplice against AJ Styles and The Club in the Extreme Rules match. Either way, the crowd both in the arena and at home would surely be excited to see him make his return.
