Per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there could be plans for the WWE to introduce Rey Mysterio's son Dominic as a wrestler in the days to come.
The professional wrestling community was recently abuzz with speculation regarding Mysterio reportedly filing to trademark the name "Prince Mysterio" - which could possibly be the ring-name for Dominic in the WWE.
On that note, Dominic's recent on-screen appearances on WWE programming also seem to have furthered talks of him potentially being introduced as an in-ring talent in the company.
In case you didn't know...
Rey Mysterio's real-life son Dominic was a part of the WWE's storylines during his childhood, and was prominently featured in a rivalry between Mysterio and late professional wrestling icon Eddie Guerrero.
Over the past few weeks, Dominic has been featured in a few segments on WWE television programming alongside his father Mysterio -- with the company hinting at Dominic potentially being involved in his father's ongoing rivalry against Samoa Joe.
The heart of the matter
Dominic has been training in order to become a professional wrestler, and follow in his father's footsteps; on the path toward pro wrestling glory.
In fact, not only has Dominic trained with his father, who is a professional wrestling legend himself, but also with Lance Storm.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter now notes that Rey Mysterio has an angle planned to introduce Dominic as a "wrestler".
One ought to note that although Mysterio has been feuding with Samoa Joe over the WWE United States Championship for quite some time now, Dominic is yet to get physically involved in a wrestling spot with Joe or anyone else as of yet.
What's next?
Fans can expect Rey Mysterio to continue his pursuit of the WWE United States Title which is currently held by Samoa Joe, in the weeks to come on RAW.
Needless to say, it'll be highly intriguing to see how the WWE chooses to utilize Dominic as an in-ring talent, particularly with his father feuding against one of the most intimidating WWE Superstars of this era, Samoa Joe.
