After weeks of exotic but disjointed promos, it seems that the WWE’s would-be hottest new pair, The Shining Stars are all but doomed to join Superstars like Tensai and Braun Strowman. Dailywrestlingnews.com reports that Vince McMahon has “given up” on Primo and Epico in their latest gimmick.
The former Los Matadores debuted on RAW a couple of weeks ago, defeating local wrestlers John Skyler and Corey Hollis in a dark match. The reaction to their much-hyped inauguration was disappointing, to say the least.
There was free-flowing speculation that Primo’s brother, former WWE United States Champion Carlito, should be brought back to form a stable that would have a firm pair of legs under it.
On the other hand, the CEO is very approving of and has high hopes for the dubious-sounding-but-a-huge-improvement-on-Fabreeze Breezango. Mr. McMahon is reportedly a fan of their gimmicks compliment each other.
How this augurs for the Shining Stars is uncertain, especially with the brand extension looming. A lot is up in the air and not a few major changes are expected in the weeks to come. The possibility of two tag team titles should not be altogether discounted.
