In case you didn't know...
Angle last appeared on RAW when he teamed up Chad Gable, Bobby Roode and Apollo Crews in a handicap match against Baron Corbin. The Olympic gold medalist previously assumed duties of being the RAW GM and was part of the surprisingly entertaining mixed tag team match at WrestleMania 34 involving Ronda Rousey, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon.
The former WWE Champion has not appeared on WWE TV since the aforementioned handicap match on the December 17th, 2018 episode of RAW.
He, however, took the fans by surprise at a recently concluded live event when he showed up and laid out Baron Corbin.
With Royal Rumble approaching, the status of the WWE Hall of Famer has been a matter of great debate in wrestling circles.
The heart of the matter
During the latest edition of the No Holds Barred podcast on Barnburner, Joe Peisich was confident about Angle making an appearance at the Rumble.
“Kurt Angle will be at the Royal Rumble from what I hear. Kurt Angle will be at the Royal Rumble,” Peisich said.
While the Rumble plans for Angle have not been revealed, having him in the 30-man Rumble match seems like a safe booking decision on the WWE's part.
What's next?
Angle is a bonafide star who still has a lot left in the tank and will surely be a part of WWE's WrestleMania plans.
The in-ring general has proven that he can still hang with the very best inside the squared circle and could potentially return to set up a WrestleMania 35 match at Royal Rumble itself.
