What's the story?
WWE is always trying to create new shows and programs for the WWE Network. They offer several original shows, as well as PPVs and archives of former promotions like WCW and ECW.
Wrestlingnews.co is now reporting that WWE has filed for and has been granted the trademark 'Worlds Collide.' Could this be for a future PPV or a new show on the WWE Network?
In case you missed it...
Filing for trademarks, at least in the world of pro wrestling, is usually done to reserve the rights for a nickname, a show, a PPV or any other entity related to a promotion.

All Elite Wrestling filed for several trademarks in November of 2018 and two months later, the trademarks confirmed the promotion of AEW once the calendar turned to 2019.
The heart of the matter
Wrestlingnews.co reports that WWE was granted the trademark for 'Worlds Collide' recently. The following description was given for the trademark.
“Entertainment services, namely, a show about professional wrestling; entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network”
The report indicates that the wording of the description likely means it would be for a WWE Network show down the line.
WWE has recently introduced shows like the Mixed Match Challenge, NXT UK and 205 Live over the last two years, so it might be another show in the veins of those three.
Consistently creating new content for the network is a top priority for the WWE in order to keep it ahead of the rest of the promotions it is competing with.
What's next?
Since the trademark was granted relatively recently, we can probably expect to hear more news going forward about a potential new show on the WWE Network or a future PPV event.
What the show is exactly about is obviously still up in the air, but the name 'Worlds Collide' could perhaps help expand WWE's brand even more so globally if that is the intention for the potential show.
