What's the story?
The Mighty have been pushing for the NXT Tag Team Championships on NXT over the past few weeks, but it appears that Shane Thorne will have to go it alone now, since Nick Miller has been released.
In case you didn't know...
In recent months, The Mighty, who was formerly known as TM61, have had a new attitude and it's cost them a lot of friends in the NXT locker room, namely The Street Profits and Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.

The latter defeated The Mighty on the latest episode of NXT and could now be pushing for another match with The Undisputed Era for those coveted Championships.
The heart of the matter
Casey of Squared Circle Sirens is reporting that WWE has released Nick Miller, who has been one half of The Mighty over the past few years. Miller has been part of the company since February 2016 alongside Shane Thorne, who hasn't been released along with his Australian partner.
Miller's page has since been removed from WWE.com, whilst Thorne's remains on the website.
Taishan Dong signed for WWE back in January, but the developmental talent reportedly quit the company earlier today. Dong was thought to have a bright future ahead of him in WWE but he's opted to walk away from the business.
What's next?
Neither of these departures have been publicly reported by WWE, but the fact that Miller's profile has been removed from WWE.com gives the impression that something has happened. Thorne could be expected to have a singles run in NXT in the coming months, but following the break up of Black and Murphy, it took Buddy Murphy more than a year to return to WWE TV, so don't hold out much hope for Thorne to appear any time soon.
