Rumour: Daniel Bryan to kick off proceedings at Payback

It is being rumoured that Daniel Bryan will feature in the opening segment of the Payback pay-per-view.

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion will have a decision to make after Stephanie McMahon laid out the conditions in front of him. If he fails to surrender his titles, his fiancee Brie Bella’s future in the industry will be jeopardized.

Daniel Bryan has been brought in to suppress the expected CM Punk chants that will echo around the Allstate Arena. Payback will be hosted by the city of broad shoulders, Chicago, which is of course Punk’s hometown.

And WWE believes that if anyone could divert the audience’s attention from Punk’s absence, it would have to be Daniel Bryan.

Getting back to the title saga, speculations have been circulating that Bryan won’t be giving up the belts as WWE expects him to return sooner than they expected.

Looks like the WWE universe will have to wait and see how the situation turns out to be. For now, these are all just rumours.
