What’s the story?
The Undertaker is one of the few who Superstars has been loyal to the WWE for a really long time. He has been with the company since making his debut in 1990. But the association looks to have come to an end.
In case you didn’t know…
The last time The Undertaker was involved in a WWE match was at Crown Jewel in late November. It was a tag-team match with his 'brother', Kane against Shawn Michaels and Triple H. The Brothers of Destruction reunited after HBK got involved in the match between Taker and Triple H at Super Showdown
The heart of the matter
The Undertaker has removed all references regarding the WWE and it has left everyone shocked. His Twitter and Instagram profile used to have “WWE Superstar” written.
However, it is also being rumored that he has only removed it to make more appearances outside the WWE and that he is still tied to a contract with the company. Dave Meltzer also commented on the removal of the WWE reference on The Undertakers social media accounts and said.
“The Undertaker on his social media I guess he removed references to WWE and he gave like like this website address to start taking dates so you know he’s gonna go and start doing stuff. You know usually he’d protect that gimmick and he wouldn’t do a lot of public appearances, but now he’s looking for public appearances.” [via Ringside News]
What’s next?
Reports suggest that The Undertaker will not be having a match at WrestleMania this year but has been pencilled in for a cameo appearance. However, it is worth noting that WWE had not confirmed if he would be involved in a match at the grandest stage of them all until the very moment.
