WWE Officials have reportedly been very high on Kevin Owens back from his days at NXT. Now, more than a year into main roster run, he has been on a dream run, beating John Cena on his main roster debut. He’s also won the WWE Intercontinental Championship twice while also putting on a series of absolute belters, the most recent one being his match against Sami Zayn at WWE Battleground , which had the 15,000 plus crowd giving them a standing ovation.
All this coupled with his mic skills have shown that Owens has what it takes to be a top WWE Superstar. WWE officials also seem to agree and at one point they even had Kevin Owens locked in to win this years’ Money In The Bank ladder match but that didn't end up happening and Ambrose went on to win it instead.
However, the feeling within WWE is that Kevin Owens should be in the mix for the main event on Raw in the future.
Could Owens main event sometime before Wrestlemania next year? With the lack of top heels on the Raw roster, expect Kevin Owens to be pushed as the top heel on the company’s flagship show in coming months.
