As reported before, the on-screen advocate of Brock Lesnar – Paul Heyman – made his WWE return along with The Beast in Cornet during this week's episode of Monday Night Raw. Not only that, he also showed up during SmackDown in a brief backstage segment after Lesnar delivered an F5 to Randy Orton, returning the favour to the Viper after he was hit with an RKO Outta Nowhere on Raw.
After his appearance, several sources reported that both the WWE officials and the mastermind behind ECW put their differences aside and Heyman signed a new contract prior to his appearance on Monday night.
Now it looks like Heyman’s on-screen client, Brock Lesnar, turned out to be one of the biggest factors behind the WWE re-signing Heyman despite having a contract dispute with the Advocate.
As reported by PWinsider, Brock Lesnar wanted Heyman to be at his side during his WWE return and he forced officials to reach an agreement with the former ECW commissioner so he could accompany the Beast on his return.
It is also reported that one of the biggest reasons behind the hesitation of WWE was that Heyman was asking for far more money than his previous contract which officials were not willing to pay. Although it hasn't been disclosed yet if WWE succumbed to Heyman’s demands or if a middle ground was reached.
