It was announced on Raw, by none other than the imperious Vince McMahon, that Stephanie and Shane McMahon would take control of Raw and Smackdown respectively, with both of them hiring a General Manager each to ensure that the brands are smoothly run.
It was a segment that left us eagerly awaiting next week, so that we can come to know who are the two GMs that are chosen for the task.
But that wait may have been cut short by an unfortunate error that the WWE may have been responsible for, reports Wrestlingnews.co.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
A potential spoiler sent out on the WWE app regarding the commissioners of both brands included a paragraph header that read “The Yes! Movement takes over SmackDown!”, something that the company has been prompt to take down as well.
This slip-up, and it certainly seems to be that, has led to furious speculation about whether it would indeed be Daniel Bryan who would work as the General Manager of SmackDown!.
One thing is for sure though; the WWE has ensured – knowingly or otherwise – that viewers would definitely be tuning in next week to see how the Brand Split pans out.
