The Authority storyline began back in SummerSlam 2013, when Triple H attacked Daniel Bryan after he had defeated John Cena to win the WWE Championship, ultimately losing to Randy Orton who cashed in his Money in the Bank contract after that match.

WWE COO Triple H and his wife, Stephanie McMahon (The Authority) would become the bookers of both RAW and SmackDown eventually. The main motto of the stable was to do what is “Best for business” but while making sure that “the Authority always wins”.

Several wreslters including Randy Orton, Big Show, Kane, Jamie Noble, Joey Mercury, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, Batista along with Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Vince McMahon have been a part of The Authority since it’s origin. If the Authority stable comes to an end it will be interesting to find out who becomes the new general manager for RAW and SmackDown and more importantly, the dominant heel in the WWE.
