The Survivor Series pay-per-view is just a few days away and the WWE is sparing no effort in making the show a grand success. A number of rumours have been doing the rounds about how things may pan out at the event and one of them relates to a massive double switch between Raw and SmackDown, which may be on the cards.
The Intercontinental Championship is currently on SmackDown and is held by Dolph Ziggler whereas the entire Cruiserweight division is owned completely by the Raw brand. Ziggler had thrown an open challenge to any Raw superstar for a title match at the Survivor Series and Sami Zayn beat Rusev to qualify for the match.

On the other hand, it was announced by Daniel Bryan on the latest episode of SmackDown Live that Kalisto will be taking on Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick at the pay-per-view and if the former wins, the most high-flying section in the WWE will become an exclusive part of the blue brand.
If the rumours around these two matches are to be believed, we could see new Intercontinental and Cruiserweight champions come Survivor Series. Moreover, it would imply that there is a double switch between the two premier brands in terms of these two coveted titles.
This development could provide a big boost to both Raw and SmackDown if it is indeed true. With the US Championship already in their fold, the Intercontinental title would be a great addition for the older of the two brands and Sami Zayn’s popularity could give it some more zing.
Meanwhile, the SmackDown Live roster already has some high-flyers and the Cruiserweight division is likely to flourish much more there than it is doing at present. However, we will have to wait until Survivor Series to find out if this projected double switch actually happens.
