The July 4th episode of Monday Night Raw could be a record-breaking show for the WWE in a very unwelcome way.
As it falls on an Independence Day holiday for the USA, viewership ratings are expected to be low; but sport statistician Danny Tucitto, whose predictions are generally within 0.10 of the actual ratings, claims that the drop is going to be even steeper than expected.
This is owing to the fact that many Americans would likely end up missing out on Raw to celebrate the occasion of Independence Day, reports Wrestlinginc.com.
In comparison with the previous years where Independence Day fell on a Monday, a viewership drop of up to 35% as compared to the ratings in June of that year. If that trend is to repeat itself this year, the WWE are set to experience their first rating below 2.0 after the Monday Night Wars.
And considering that the ratings for June were just a tad above that number, there is a realistic possibility that Monday Night Raw this week could suffer the ignominy of being one of the lowest ever rated episodes in WWE history.
