One of the longest serving general managers in WWE history is Teddy Long who is well known for his stint of being the general manager of SmackDown. He is also the first person in the history to have multiple terms of being a general manager. To add another note to his career, he was also the former ECW general manager.
You could often see a smiling face emerging through the curtains to settle disputes between wrestlers and announce tag team matches, for which he was especially notorious for. Often coming to the rescue of babyfaces while the heels would play dirty tricks to get the cheap win.
Long made a return to WWE during the June 6th episode of Raw, announcing his intention of wanting to run SmackDown. But Stephanie McMahon interrupted him only to tell him that the WWE had still not decided who would be the general manager of the blue brand.
Later that night he would suggest a Fatal Four Tag Team Championship match for Money In The Bank, but McMahon would steal his idea and get him escorted out of the arena by security.
According to cagesideseats.com though, that is it for Teddy Long and the WWE doesn’t have any future plans for him going forward.
