Rhyno may have unsuccessfully challenged Samoa Joe for his NXT Title, but it would seem that another shot isn't in the forecast for the veteran. If the post-Draft rumours are to be believed, Rhyno may be called up to the main roster and shore up the SmackDown talent pool.
Another Superstar that is expected to be called up is Curt Hawkins, who has been plying his trade in the independent circuit for the past couple of years ever since being released by NXT in 2014.
PWInsider, who unearthed the rumours, also surmises that the exact date of their call-up to the main roster is still unknown, although we can expect it to happen in the near future given that SmackDown appears to have dealt a rough-ish hand in the Draft.
Many still feel that performers like Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Kevin Owens should have been top picks for the SmackDown Live! brand, instead of being middling picks in a Raw roster that is already replete with main event level talent.
Despite talking up how both brands would be on the same footing, it appears that the WWE is mooting SmackDown as the secondary show after all.
