What’s the story?
Kevin Owens has been out injured for months now and is slowly recovering. WWE teased his return last month by running a promo during RAW and rumors were that he was set for an early return.
In case you didn’t know…
The former Universal champions underwent two surgeries on his knees after getting injured at the hands of Bobby Lashley. He was initially set to have surgery on his right knee but then went on to have both his knees worked on.

Owens was out injured at this time last year as well but it wasn't a serious one. He had a back issue and was off the Live Events for a couple of weeks. However, he did take onAJ Styles in a handicap match along with his best friend, Sami Zayn.
The heart of the matter
Kevin Owens will not be making a return to the ring any time soon according to Wrestling Observer. They report that he will only be making a return to WWE TV after WrestleMania and no sooner than that.
The report is completely opposite of what Joe Peisich report on Barnburner’s Fired Up podcast. He claims that Owens was ready to make an early comeback and also said that the return might be as early as the day after the Royal Rumble.
He was expected to come back and go straight into a feud with Bobby Lashley for costing him months of his career. The latter is currently the Intercontinental Champions and he might be holding on to it for some time.
What’s next?
Owens signed a 5-year contract last year and thus, WWE are in no hurry to push his return to TV as well. He has become a lot slimmer and has also got a new tattoo so expect an all-new KO coming out when his music hits.
