The WWE have been building up to the brand split for a few weeks now, with old general managers of Raw and SmackDown appearing on TV to petition for the job after the draft takes place.
In keeping with that, allwrestlingnews.com reports that the next former employee of the WWE to put forth her case would be Vickie Guerrero.
The spouse of the late Eddie Guerrero, Vickie has served as the General Manager of Smackdown and was particularly known for her “Excuse Me!” catchphrase. She was also made famous by her role as the on-screen lover to Edge and manager of various stables.
Guerrero would be the fourth applicant to vie for the General Manager job of SmackDown after Teddy Long, John Laurinaitis and Kane, if she does indeed appear on Raw.
It would seem that the WWE are bent upon hyping up the General Manager angle for the brand split, which is quite surprising considering that it was believed that the company is planning to do away with the designation once SmackDown goes live.
The brand split will air live on July 19th’s episode of SmackDown.
