There has always been a mixed reaction to the WWE Network (much like John Cena). To counter that WWE has now come up with a tier based system idea on WWE Network for the viewers who will now get to choose and pay for what they would like to watch. Apparently, a survey was conducted to see the response.
Although it’s not definite, WWE are looking for a four-tiered system with a free tier which will be applicable for viewing video clips less than 5 minutes and up to 5 hours of video archives per month. Apart from that, the free tier would include live streams but pay-per-views, NXT and The Cruiserweight Classic will be blacked out.

For the paid tiers, the first paid tier would cost $4.99 per month and it will include the ‘Big four’ events (Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, Summerslam and Survivor Series). NXT will not be available on live stream but access to NXT on-demand will be available. This tier would only be valid for phones and tablets.
The second paid tier would cost $9.99 per month and it will only feature limited advertisements and will be available for all devices. It also includes new weekly episodes of the CWC Classic. So it seems that CWC will return as a regular show rather than a yearly tournament. (YES! YES! YES!)
The third paid tier would cost $14.99 per month and will be commercial free along with videos from non-WWE promotions. Apart from live stream access to all the shows and pay-per-views, the viewers will also have features like early ticket access to shows, offline content downloads, group online chats and also the chance to vote for the WWE Hall Of Fame. The videos from non-wrestling promotions are mentioned as TNA and ROH.
With the rumours flying around all the place about the sale on TNA, this can be the final jigsaw piece to the puzzle with WWE trying to purchase TNA’s tape library. Another thing to be noted is that the survey also included ROH and while the relationship between ROH and WWE has not been publicly disclosed but it is known that superstars like CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, Sami Zayn have risen through the ranks at ROH.
The access to these digital libraries will benefit a lot to WWE as the storytelling can be more personal and extra essence can be added to the video packages enhancing the hype of the feud. There is a possibility that this listing was just random but seeing the time of TNA’s financial crisis and with the rumours flying around, the interest and survey does not seem to be random.
