WWE released a public statement yesterday claiming they investigated the allegations of professional misconduct by NXT trainer Bill DeMott at the time and found no evidence to support them. DeMott continues his regular day to day role.
“WWE took the accusations made two years ago by Austin Matelson very seriously, conducted a full investigation and was unable to validate the claims. Regardless, WWE continues to reinforce policies and procedures to ensure a positive training environment.”
Despite this, many former main roster and developmental talent have made similar allegations. Ryan Nemeth, the younger brother of Dolph Ziggler, says what Matelson alleges is true. The former Trent Barretta said it was “about time” that the allegations were finally coming out. He also re-Tweeted TNA star EC3 who worked as Derrick Bateman, referring to DeMott’s bullying.
