#2 Why Alexa Bliss?

This week’s SmackDown got its Moment of Bliss and the former Raw Women’s Champion managed to piss off the SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley.

Carmella interrupted the two as they looked poised to fight, followed quickly by Charlotte Flair. The Queen announced that Carmella, Bliss and herself would fight tonight to determine the No. 1 contender for the SmackDown Women's Championship at WWE Stomping Grounds.

After a decent match, it was surprising to see Alexa Bliss come out victorious as the superstar has suffered a few setbacks and injuries in recent times. However, there’s no reason to doubt her abilities and spot in the women’s division.

The question here is why did WWE have to bring in a Raw superstar to SmackDown to find a challenger for its top championship? Are the women on SmackDown not worthy enough of getting a title shot for their own brand’s championship? What about Ember Moon, Asuka, and Sonya Deville?

Or is WWE just trying to justify its wild card rule for the women’s division too which had been overlooked in the build-up to Saudi Arabia’s Super ShowDown?
